Mentee Expectations

Here is how to make the most of your mentorship: 

  • Take initiative. Contact your mentor within 10 days of being matched and maintain regular communication. 
  • Stay engaged. Keep your mentor updated on your academic progress, job search status, and evolving goals. 
  • Be professional. Respect your mentor’s time, knowledge, and feedback. While they may help you network, don’t expect direct job offers. 
  • Be open and proactive. Share your career aspirations and ask meaningful questions to guide discussions. 
  • Come prepared. Use your mentor's input to shape your decisions from elective classes to resume development. 
  • Feedback on resumes, ****LinkedIn profiles, and soft skills to improve your professional presence. 
  • Complete all milestones. Ensure all milestones are completed with your mentor on the Enginuity Network platform 
  • Submit the Surveys. Don’t forget to complete both the Midpoint and Endpoint surveys; they are important for measuring your journey.
